Distributed around the VK-50SE circuit board are carefully placed vibration nodes. These are points where the board is fastened to a stable half-inch thick base plate. This construc- tion eliminates unsupported spans on the board and dramatically reduces the consequent sound-degrading vibrations. It makes more sense to prevent vibration of key components in the first place than to apply damping materials as bandages after the fact.
